We aim to offer students of all levels, a learn-to-sail, learn-to-race program, with an on-the-water and classroom approach, while providing a safe, informative, and hands-on experience for all.
In 1985 a small group of businessmen, in this immediate area, formed what was then named the "Charlevoix County Sailors." Their desire was to teach children to sail during the summer on our beautiful Lake Charlevoix. At that time their task was how, where and with whom. The "Why" was very certain, which is the same as it is today.
Lake Charlevoix Mariners is the organization body of the Sail Charlevoix program and facilitates fund-raising, facilities management, and management of the sail school program.
